A curatorial conversation between contemporary art works and design objects. In this exchange art looks at the shape of society and irritates its boundaries, whereas design takes the functionality of objects in service to society and stretches their limitations. This exhibition examined the nature of laughter - with a photographic series based on an original portrait of friends laughing in Japan in 1956 - juxtaposed with a "twitchie" robot designed to trigger laughter instantaneously.
